It seems that Paris Saint-Germain wants to quickly overcome its elimination from the semi-finals of the Champions League, at the hands of Manchester City, and has begun preparing for the next season.
And French media reports said that Saint-Germain placed Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s top scorer, on the radar of his summer mercato deals.
According to the French newspaper Le Parisien, Salah will be a substitute for Frenchman Clian Mbappe if the latter decides to leave the team next summer.
Mbappe’s contract in the “Princes Park” expires in the summer of 2022, and there has yet to be no way to renew the contract for the 22-year-old player.
Meanwhile, Salah’s future at Anfield is unclear after a difficult season for Liverpool. As a result, there is interest from the Parisian team.
The French champion (Saint-Germain) finds it very difficult to win over Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but hiring the Egyptian captain appears to be a more realistic option for Saint-Germain.
Liverpool are reportedly ready to consider an offer of around € 80 million to the 29-year-old, which the French capital’s team sees as key to future Champions League success.
And Salah’s signature – according to “Le Parisien” – will contribute to the fulfillment of one of Saint Germain’s dreams of signing an Arab player.
