Emir of Kuwait confirms commitment to the democratic approach and warns of rumors

The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, affirmed yesterday evening the adherence to the democratic approach and the commitment to calm and purposeful dialogue, warning what he described as malicious rumors.

Sheikh Nawwaf said that Kuwait is a trust in the necks of Kuwaitis, warning that no one will be allowed to undermine its security and stability by publishing malicious calls that affect national unity.

In a televised speech, the Emir called for us to stand in the face of the rumors broadcast on social media platforms, and to be careful to know the full truth.

And he stressed, “Adherence to the democratic approach that we agreed to, moving away from the atmosphere of tension and tension and from all reasons for discrimination that lead to slow development in the country.”

He added, “Cooperation between state authorities and institutions is the basis for any successful national action and the best way to achieve the development aspirations sought by our loyal people.”

In September 2020, Sheikh Nawwaf was sworn in before the National Assembly (Parliament) as the Emir of the country, following the death of his brother, Prince Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
