In the Israeli press and news sites, as well as television stations, there are increasing calls for an urgent end to the war waged by the occupation on the besieged Gaza Strip.
So far, the Israeli aggression has resulted in the death of more than 200 Palestinians and the wounding of 1,400 others, while 10 Israelis have been killed and at least 300 wounded.
As the aggression enters its tenth day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insists on continuing to pour bombs on the heads of the population, cutting off Gaza and turning homes and infrastructure to rubble.
But many journalists and politicians in Israel were fed up with this war and demanded an immediate end to it.
The aggression has brought Gaza back to the fore, and thanks to the Al Jazeera network and the free press, images of the aggression have reached the world, prompting the masses in the east and west of the earth to march in solidarity with the Gaza Strip.
This is one of the reasons that made voices rising from inside Israel calling for an end to the war, as they do not want the world to pay attention to the suffering of the besieged sector from the sea, air and land.
In Haaretz, writer Alon Pinkas said that Israel entered this war without a strategy and is paying the price.
He believes that when you do not have a strategy towards Hamas and Gaza, there are no decisive victories.
“The issue of Gaza and Hamas requires a strategy, not military operations, and self-defense is something that should not be justified or apologized,” he added.
And there is another matter that seems more disturbing in this war, it is the steadfastness of Hamas and its ability to strike Tel Aviv and the depth of Israeli cities, which led to the Palestinians around the resistance, including the Palestinians of the interior, and at the same time the Israeli society is fragmenting and discovering over time that the occupation cannot guarantee Safety and peace.
As for the Jerusalem Post, Tzipi Joffer sees that Israel is winning the battle, but Hamas is winning the war.

Hamas is not defeated
He considers that while the Israeli army confronts Hamas with force, an internal war is tearing apart Israeli society. In the author’s estimate, Hamas has succeeded in unifying forces with the West Bank and with the Arabs of Israel, and has moved the battle to the entire Israeli interior.
He believes that the events of last week afflicted Israeli society deeply, and that it will take years to heal.
The same breath is in Yedioth Ahronoth, where Shimon Scheffer believes that the most important achievement for Hamas is the fire that it set in Israeli cities.
He calls on the Israelis not to wait for an image of victory, then proposes what US Senator George Aiken suggested to President Lyndon Johnson at the height of the Vietnam War, when he said, “Let us declare that we have won and get out,” based on his knowledge that there is no chance to defeat the Vietnamese.
It appears that Hamas’ resilience and capabilities have surprised Israeli opinion makers and army commanders and forced them to admit the difficulty of the battle.
In Israel Hayom, writer Yoav Limor wonders: Will the conflict in Gaza lead to an escalation on other fronts?
And he calls on the Israelis to focus more on preventing a mass conflagration, instead of focusing on the manifestations of victory.
He adds that Hamas is still standing and has succeeded in drawing additional fronts into the battle, and this is an important achievement that Israel will find difficult to confront.
