Official Arabic-speaking Israeli accounts, especially those of the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his spokesman, Ophir Gendelman, have been publishing various videos accusing Hamas of launching rockets from between homes in Gaza, and demonstrating that there are martyrs as a result of the Israeli strikes.
The “Sanad” news monitoring and verification agency on the Al-Jazeera network tracked and verified these clips, and it was found that the videos posted on the Israeli accounts are misleading and do not reflect the reality in Gaza.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s page in Arabic shared a video clip that it said was “conclusive evidence of rockets being fired from between homes and causing the killing of Palestinians in Gaza.” Sanad found out that the clip is old, and it was circulated on YouTube in a different context last April.
Ophir Gendelman, a spokesman for Netanyahu’s office, posted another video on his Twitter account, saying that Hamas is trying to deceive public opinion about the deaths caused by the Israeli raids in Gaza, and Gendelman used a clip that showed several people being represented as dead.
It turned out that the clip was old and was published last March through the account of a TikTok user in the occupied city of Nazareth, and it is of people known there for their activities and satirical activities, which was proven by the rest of the other videos published by the account.
