Moroccan star Ashraf Hakimi left Real Madrid last summer and joined Inter Milan, with whom he won the Italian Football League.
But the time for the Moroccan full back in Spain appears to be far from over and he could return to the Bernabeu.
Hakimi told the popular Spanish program, El Chiringui to, that “they (Real) had the opportunity to get me back, I must explain to people, they said: I don’t want to go back to competing for my place, but it was not like that.”
He continued, “Real Madrid is my home and I want to play there again, but circumstances prompted Real Madrid to decide to dispense with me. Everyone knew that I wanted to return to Real Madrid and prove myself and win my position.”
The Moroccan international continued to suggest that the “Merengue” refused his services and returned to the team after he was on loan to Dortmund, stressing that none of his former club congratulated him on winning the title.
Asked if Real Madrid had an option to stay at the club, he said, “I think so.” “At the moment, neither Zidane nor Florentino (Perez) congratulated me,” he added.
It was said that Zidane did not rely on Hakimi at Real Madrid, although the player is not sure whether the problem is with the Frenchman.
“I don’t know if it is Zidane or the club,” Hakimi said. Advertising
“There was also the issue of the epidemic, and I don’t really know what happened … but I don’t blame Zidane or the club … I think it was a result of the circumstances caused by the epidemic and I had to leave.”
