A five-year-old girl was killed, and a man and a woman were injured in Afrin city in the countryside of Aleppo, as a result of missile strikes issued by areas controlled by the regime forces and Kurdish militias in the north of the province.
On Sunday morning, the Syrian Civil Defense said on its Twitter account that it had recovered the body of the child and transported the injured to receive treatment.
According to the tweet, the bombing came from areas controlled by the regime forces, and the Syrian Democratic Forces, whose backbone is the Kurdish People’s Protection Units.
Three months ago, the bombings returned to the Afrin region, when the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that at least 6 people were killed and dozens were injured in a car bomb explosion, accusing the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG).
The Turkish forces and the Syrian National Army (opposition) were able in March 2018, thanks to Operation Olive Branch, to wrest the Afrin region from the grip of the Kurdish forces that had controlled it for 6 years.
